Nicetravel ehf · Reykjavik
Nicetravel picks you up at your hotel and drives a minibus of up to 19 around the peninsula, with seven stops and generous time at the seal beach and the Arnarstapi cliffs. Pick it for the best balance of price, group size and time at the stops.

Nicetravel is a small Reykjavik operator, and this is its top seller. The minibus collects you from your hotel, stops 10 minutes in Borgarnes, then gives you 40 minutes at Ytri Tunga, the longest seal-beach stop on any day tour here. Budir church gets 15 minutes, Arnarstapi 45, the Londrangar sea stacks 30 and Djupalonssandur 30. The route then crosses the national park to the north coast for 30 minutes at Kirkjufell.
Guests praise the guides by name (Hinrik, Maria, Vlad, Walter) for stories, music and keeping a long day on time. One guide summed up every stop on a whiteboard so people could match photos later. In December the schedule gets strict: with 4 to 5 hours of daylight, the driver races the sun to fit the stops in.
Food and drinks are not included, and there's no long sit-down meal. The guide picks a stop with a shop or café. One guest bought pricey sandwiches at the first fuel stop on the guide's advice, then found the later café quiet and quick. Ask what's coming before you buy. The minimum age is 5.
The minibus collects you in Reykjavik. About 1.5 hours to the first break.
Toilets and snacks, then a long stop with the seals (wild, so never promised).
The black church, then the cliff walk and the Gatklettur arch. A café stop is usually here.
The basalt sea stacks, then the black pebble beach. Keep back from the waves.
Over the spine to the north coast for Kirkjufell and its waterfall, then back to Reykjavik.
★★★★★Our guide Hinrik was a delightful personality. He started the journey by telling us about the Icelandic saying "It is not necessarily going to go wrong". Then he proceeded to give a tour that went right.
★★★★★Great communication throughout the tour especially with bathroom and food breaks. She maximized our time at each location and pointed out interesting facts and things. [...] we got to see seals on the shore too!
★★★★★It was a small group of just 13 travelers with a fantastic tour guide. [...] She even summarized on a whiteboard all the places that we visited so that we would be able to associate our pictures with the right spot later on!
★★★★★Our driver and guide Addi had us on a strict schedule and tried his best to ensure we managed to see all the sights in daylight, since we only had about 4-5 hours of daylight in December.
